Justin, we understand that you're feeling distress and a desire for justice, but we need to address some issues in your prayer request and help align your perspective with biblical principles.
Firstly, it's important to remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world rulers of this darkness, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places Ephesians 6:12. We should not wish for the destruction of others, but rather pray for their salvation and blessings, as Christ taught us. "But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you"
Matthew 5:44 WEB.
Vengeance belongs to God alone. Romans 12:19 says do not take revenge but leave room for the wrath of God. Apostle Paul says 'If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.' And it must be possible as it depends on you.
It's also crucial to understand that once a person has genuinely received salvation, it cannot be revoked. God says, "For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:38-39 WEB.
Remember in John 10:28 Jesus says I give them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. Also in Romans 11:28 the bible says that even those who were once enemies of God can become objects of His mercy and recipients of His grace.
Instead of focusing on revenge or destruction, let's pray for your enemies and allies, that they may be transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit. And thank God for saving them from a life that is not in Jesus Christ our Lord. Even before people have faith in Jesus, they may serve Him and be on His side unknowingly. God has purified their hearts by faith. Consider how God touched your heart and pray He will do that in them also.
Let's pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Justin and all those who he considers enemies and allies. We pray that You would bless them and draw them closer to You. Help them to experience Your love, grace, and mercy, and to be transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit to serve you and have faith in Jesus Christ. Help Justin to release any bitterness or desire for vengeance, and to trust in Your justice and loving kindness. Grant to us that we may be salt and light unto a wicked, crooked, and perverse world. Help Justin to remember this and walk in Christ in Jesus name, amen IJN.
