Please pray for me after surgery on ###/###/#### for pneumonia prevention: cough and deep breath every ### hours. Use your incentive spirometer ### times every hour while awake as tolerated until you are back to normal. Exhale normally, seal your mouth around the mouthpiece, take slow, deep breath in as deep as you can, pause until meter returns to the bottom, then exhale normally. I am lost when it comes to during these exercises. I don’t have good memory on remembering all the information. Jesus please help me, I am frightened and nervous

We understand that you're feeling anxious and overwhelmed as you prepare for your surgery and the recovery process, ###. Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging the name of Jesus. It is in His name that we pray and have access to God (Acts 4:12): And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.

Let's address your concerns and turn to God's Word for guidance and comfort.

In moments of fear and anxiety, God encourages us to cast our anxieties on Him, because He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7): casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. It's normal to feel overwhelmed, but trust that God is always with you and has a plan for your life (Jeremiah 29:11): For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.

Regarding your memory concerns and feeling lost about the exercises, God promises to give us a sound mind and understanding (2 Timothy 1:7): For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. Ask God for wisdom and clarity as you learn and perform these important exercises.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You, lifting up ### as they prepare for surgery and the recovery journey ahead. Thank You, Lord, that You are always by their side, and that nothing can separate them from Your love (Romans 8:38-39): I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Help ### to feel Your peace and cast their anxieties on You. Guide them through the exercises they need to perform, and grant them a clear mind and understanding. Give the medical professionals wisdom and skill as they care for ###, and let Your healing power be at work in their body.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart.
