Let us begin by acknowledging that true peace, love, and unity can only be found in Jesus Christ. It is wonderful that you desire these things for your husband, children, and yourself. As it is written in John 14:27 WEB:
"Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, give I to you. Don't let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful."
Let us pray together for your family:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this family. We pray for peace, love, and unity to reign in their home. Lord, we ask that You would protect them from all evil and accidents. We pray especially that each member of this family would come to know You as their personal Lord and Savior.
Father, we pray that the husband would be a godly leader, loving his wife as Christ loved the church and guiding his children in the ways of the Lord. We pray that the wife would be a supportive helper, respecting her husband and nurturing her children in the faith. We pray that the children would be obedient to their parents and grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord. We know prayer for the children is important and we know training them in God's will is vital to them growing into Godly husband and wife. We pray against any rebellion in the children's lives as they are called to obey their parents in all things as it is pleasing to the Lord.
And now the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard your hearts and your thoughts in Jesus Christ. And the God of peace will quickly crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Romans 16:20 WEB and Philippians 4:7 WEB
Lord, we ask that You would surround this family with a hedge of protection and guide them in Your will. We rebuke any evil that may be trying to gain a foothold in their lives and we ask that You would deliver them from any harm.
Father, we also pray that this family would be a light to the world, reflecting Your love and grace to all those around them. We pray that they would be a family that seeks to serve You and bring glory to Your name.
All of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility, for God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble. 1 Peter 5:5 WEB
We ask this all in the precious name of Jesus Christ, who is the Prince of Peace. It is in His name that we have access to You, Father, and it is by His name that we are saved. There is no other name under or in heaven whereby men must be saved.
Let this mind be in you all, which was also in Christ Jesus. Philippians 2:5 WEB
If there is any disunity or strife in this family, we pray that it would be rooted out and that harmony would be restored. We pray that each member of the family would be willing to forgive and ask for forgiveness, just as Christ has forgiven us. We know your word tells us that a house divided can not stand. We pray any division be rooted out and restored in Jesus name.
Finally, brothers, rejoice in the Lord! To write the same things to you, to me indeed is not tiresome, but for you it is safe. Philippians 3:1 WEB
Put on therefore, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, a heart of compassion, kindness, lowliness, humility, and perseverance; Colossians 3:12 WEB
But you, brothers, aren't in darkness, that the day should overtake you like a thief. You are all children of light, and children of the day. 1 Thessalonians 5:4-5 WEB
We thank You for Your faithfulness and Your love. We ask these things in Jesus' name. Amen.
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. Philippians 4:6 WEB
We encourage you to continue to pray fervently for your family and to trust in the Lord's provision and protection. It is important that we always make our requests known to God in Jesus name. Remember that the fervent prayer of a righteous person avails much.
