Disciple of Prayer
My family of 5 is currently torn apart due to drug addiction and an overzealous DHS/CPS system. My husband and myself relapsed and have been using drugs again for the last couple years. Our addiction among other factors beyond our control led our family to become homeless about a year and a half ago which is when we placed our three children with family about a half an hour away from where we lived. Once our children were away from us my husband and my addictions grew more out of control and CPS stepped in and took temporary custody away from us and granted my family guardianship over them with the plan of reunification after we could show the judge that we were clean. We have been struggling for a year now to get clean because it's incredibly difficult to do so when your on the streets...everybody (almost) who lives on the streets or in these tiny homes (which is in reality not a tiny home at all, but a 8x8 insulated box with electricity which I'm grateful to be in considering the time of year though for sure) use drugs and they are readily available all over at all times, which makes it very difficult to abstain from using, especially when in a state of heart brokenness and traumatization. We are going into residential treatment though in just a few days so as to show the judge and our kids that we are serious and will do whatever it takes to get our family and health back!;I just pray and would ask for prayers and agreement in prayer that this will be enough evidence for our court date on the 18th of this month, to prevent the judge from going forward with changing our plan from reunification towards adoption of our children out, which is what my attorney informs me is probably going to happen. Please pray for my family to be reunified and all of our wounds from my husband's and my childhoods to be healed so that we wouldn't even want to self medicated with drugs anymore, and also for my children's hearts to be healed from the traumas they have endured through all of this as well as for healing of relationships in our extended family and my brother and his wife who have our kids to be healed and blessed for all that they have done to help in this whole situation too. I know with faith and God all things are possible and I know his word says I am an overcommer and so I know we will be successful on our journey to sobriety, in. Jesus name! Thank you so much for reading all of this and for any help and prayers you are led to for us.

Sincerely,
Rachele

Thank you for sharing your heart, Weruskan. We are here to lift you up in prayer and offer guidance from God's Word.

Firstly, let's address your situation with God's promises:

"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28 WEB)

"He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." (Psalm 147:3 WEB)

"All things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." (Romans 8:28 WEB)

Drug addiction is a stronghold, but God's power is greater. It's crucial to remember that your family's healing and reunification will come from turning your lives over to God and trusting in His plan.

Let's pray together:

*Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today to lift up Weruskan and her family. Lord, You know their struggles, their pain, and their desires. We ask that You touch Weruskan and her husband, and set them free from the bondage of drug addiction. Cleanse them, Lord, and fill them with Your Holy Spirit. Guide them as they enter residential treatment, and let this be a turning point in their lives.

We ask for Your divine intervention in their upcoming court date. Soften the judge's heart, Lord, and let the plan of reunification remain intact. We claim healing for Weruskan, her husband, and their children. Heal their hearts, minds, and bodies. Restore their family, Lord, and let Your love flow through them.

Bless Weruskan's brother and his wife for their help and support. Heal any broken relationships within their extended family. Let Weruskan's family be a testimony of Your power and grace.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.*

Weruskan, we commend you for acknowledging that your healing and reunification will come through faith in God. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, trust in His plan, and know that God is working all things together for good.

Remember, God warns us against drunkenness and drug abuse in Galatians 5:19-21. It is a sin that can keep us from inheriting the kingdom of God. But God is forgiving and merciful. When we repent and turn to Him, He freely forgives us and helps us overcome our sins.

Stay strong in your faith, and we will continue to pray for your family's complete restoration.

We're here for you, Weruskan. We've been praying for your family, and we want you to know that we believe in your strength and resilience. We're standing with you as you face this trial, and we're confident that God has a plan to heal and restore your family.

We've been reflecting on the verse from Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." We know that God has a purpose in this, and He will use it to bring about good in your life and the lives of your children.

We've also been thinking about the power of community. We're grateful for the support of your brother and his wife, and we pray that God will continue to bless and strengthen those relationships. We also want you to know that you're not alone in this. There are people here who care about you and are committed to praying for you and your family.

As you go into residential treatment, we pray that God will grant you the strength and courage you need to face each day. We ask that He will fill you with His love and grace, and that He will use this time to heal and restore your family. We also pray that God will give you wisdom and discernment as you navigate the legal system, and that He will soften the hearts of those in authority.

We believe in the power of prayer, and we're confident that God will answer our prayers. We'll continue to lift you and your family up to Him, and we trust that He will work all things together for your good.

Keep holding on, Weruskan. We're right there with you, every step of the way. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Heavenly Father,

We come before You, lifting up Rachele, her husband, and their three precious children. You know the depths of their struggle and the pain they have faced. Your Word reminds us in Psalm 34:18, “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” We ask that You draw near to them now, bringing hope, healing, and restoration.

Lord, we pray for Your strength and divine intervention as Rachele and her husband prepare to enter residential treatment. Philippians 4:13 tells us, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Let this promise be a source of power and encouragement as they commit to sobriety and healing. Grant them the courage and resilience to overcome the temptations they face, and place a hedge of protection around them during this critical time.

We ask for Your favor in their upcoming court date on the 18th. Father, guide the hearts of the judge and all involved to see the sincere efforts being made for the sake of their family’s reunification. We believe in Your ability to change hearts and circumstances (Proverbs 21:1), and we trust that You will open a way where there seems to be none.

We lift up their children, who have endured their own share of trauma and heartache. Lord, we pray for Your healing touch to mend their hearts and minds. Isaiah 41:10 promises, “Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” May the children feel Your comforting presence and assurance as they navigate this challenging time.

Father, we also ask for Your blessing upon Rachele’s brother and sister-in-law who have taken in the children. Strengthen and reward them for their selflessness, and may their relationships be renewed with peace and understanding. We pray for the extended family to experience reconciliation, love, and healing that only You can provide.

Lord, we stand on the truth of Your Word in Romans 8:37, “No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.” Let Rachele and her husband find their identity as overcomers in Christ and walk boldly in their journey of recovery. May Your grace and mercy be their foundation, leading them to complete restoration.

In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray for healing, unity, and hope for this family.

Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
