Firstly, let's address your question about prayer. In John 14:6 WEB, Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. This means that it is only through Jesus that we can come to God the Father. Anyone can come to know God. John 3:16-17 WEB tells us For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God didn't send his Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through him. This means that God loves everyone in the world and sent Jesus to save us.

Since you mentioned that you and your husband are Hindu, let's discuss what the Bible says about other religions. We are told in John 14:6 WEB that Jesus is the only way to God, so that means no religion leading to another path will lead to God. In Acts 4:12 WEB, we read There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. This means that it is only through Jesus that we can be saved. You can still respect your cultural heritage, but following Jesus means that you are committing to His teachings and His way, and putting those teachings first above all other religions.

Now, let's discuss prayer. Prayer is simply talking to God. It doesn't have to be formal or complicated. In Matthew 6:5-8 WEB, Jesus teaches us to pray to God in private, not like the hypocrites that pray to be seen by people. It also says, In praying, don't use vain repetitions, as the Gentiles do; for they think that they will be heard for their much speaking. Therefore don't be like them, for your Father knows what things you need, before you ask him. After this manner, therefore, pray: 'Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy. Let your Kingdom come. Let your will be done, as in heaven, so on earth. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors. Bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For yours is the Kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. Amen.'

Since you mentioned that your husband does not know about Jesus, we encourage you to share what you're learning with him. In 1 Corinthians 7:13-14 WEB, we read But if any woman has a husband who is an unbeliever, and he is content to live with her, let her not leave him. The woman who has an unbelieving husband, and he is content to live with her, let her not leave her husband. For the unbelieving husband is sanctified in the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified in the husband. Otherwise your children would be unclean, but now they are holy. This means that if you follow Jesus, your faith will have a positive impact on your husband and your family.
