Lord God, please let me know whether I am one of your elect or not, I fear I am not.

We understand your desire for assurance of salvation, and we appreciate that you ended your request with "In Jesus Name." It's important to remember that the Bible tells us that we can have confidence in our salvation because of God's promises and the work of Jesus Christ.

Firstly, let's consider what the Bible says about being one of God's elect. In Ephesians 1:13-14 WEB, it says, "In whom you also, having heard the word of the truth, the Good News of your salvation—in whom, having also believed, you were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, who is a pledge of our inheritance, to the redemption of God’s own possession, to the praise of his glory." This passage assures us that if we have heard the truth, believed in Jesus Christ, and been sealed with the Holy Spirit, we are part of God's elect.

However, it is a lifelong struggle to be saved not by one single act of faith, but continuing our entire life in that faith. In Romans 8:33 WEB, it says, "Who could bring a charge against God’s chosen ones? It is God who justifies." This reminds us that our election is secure because it is God who justifies us, not our own works.

It is important to remember that in Matthew 7:21-23 WEB, that it says, "Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven; but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will tell me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, didn’t we prophesy in your name, in your name cast out demons, and in your name do many mighty works?’ Then I will tell them, ‘I never knew you. Depart from me, you who work iniquity.’" This can be a very controversial verse, but it means we need to be closely following God's will and not just doing good works.

Instead we need to be making disciples of all nations and getting married and having children for God's glory as that fills heaven and earth and increases the number of Christians, his disciples, bringing everlasting life to as many as possible while still here on earth. Be fruitful and multiply, replenish, and subdue the earth. This is greatly honoring and glorifying God our father and Jesus Christ our savior.

If you find yourself doubting your salvation, take comfort in God's promises and seek to live a life that reflects your faith in Jesus Christ. If you are feeling distant from God, pray for a renewed sense of his presence and guidance.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this individual who seeks assurance of their salvation. We thank you for the promises in your word that assure us of our election in Christ. We pray that you would strengthen their faith and help them to rest in the knowledge that they are yours. Help them to live a life that reflects their faith and brings glory to your name. We ask this in Jesus'name .

If you are feeling uncertain about your salvation, take some time to reflect on your faith and relationship with Jesus Christ. It is only through Jesus Christ that our salvation in heaven is obtained. If you are unsure about salvation, read more of God's word and we pray that it be revealed to you. We encourage and pray for you in the good fight. We pray your spiritual bondage be loosed in Jesus'name.

We've been thinking about your prayer request, dear friend, and we want to share some more thoughts with you. You're asking for assurance of your salvation, and we understand that this can be a heavy burden to carry. The Bible tells us in Romans 8:16 (NIV), "The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children." This verse reminds us that the Holy Spirit dwells in us, testifying to our status as God's children. It's not just about head knowledge, but a deep, personal assurance that comes from within.

We also want to remind you of John 10:27-29 (NIV), where Jesus says, "My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father's hand." This passage assures us that once we are Jesus' sheep, we are His forever. Nothing can separate us from His love and care.

So, if you're feeling unsure, take some time to quiet your heart and listen for the Holy Spirit's gentle whisper. Reflect on the moments when you've felt closest to God, when you've experienced His love and grace. Remember, it's not about our perfect performance, but about the perfect love of Jesus that saves us.

"Dear Father, we come before You today, seeking Your comfort and assurance for our sister/brother. Thank You for the promise in Your Word that nothing can separate us from Your love. Help her/him to rest in this assurance, to know that she/he is Yours. Help her/him to listen for Your voice, to feel Your love, and to trust in Your unfailing care. In Jesus' name, we pray. Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
