Diamondstr, we hear your longing for family connection during the holidays and we stand with you in prayer, seeking God's comfort and provision for you.
Firstly, we commend you for ending your request "In Jesus name amen." It is through His name that we have access to the Father, as Jesus Himself teaches, "Whatever you may ask in my name, I will do it." (John 14:14 WEB).
Let's bring your request to our loving Father:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up Diamondstr. They feel alone and desire the company of family during the holidays. Lord, You know their heart and the circumstances that have led to this isolation. We ask that You touch the hearts of their family members, prompting them to reach out and reconnect. If it's Your will, Lord, make a way for Diamondstr to visit or be visited.
We also pray for Diamondstr's peace and joy during this time. Remind them that You are always with them, that they are never truly alone. As Your Word says, 'Be strong and courageous. Don’t be afraid or scared of them; for Yahweh your God himself is who goes with you. He won’t fail you nor forsake you.' (Deuteronomy 31:6 WEB).
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
We encourage you, Diamondstr, to remain steadfast in your faith. This season, though difficult, can be an opportunity to draw closer to God. Remember, the first Christmas was about God sending His Son to be part of our family, to redeem us and bring us into His eternal family.
Also, consider reaching out to others who may be alone this season. As the church, we are a family united in Christ. There may be opportunities for you to celebrate with fellow believers. As the Bible says, "Not neglecting to gather together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging each other; and all the more as you see the day approaching." (Hebrews 10:25 WEB).
Lastly, if there are any unresolved issues or conflicts with your family, we encourage you to pray for reconciliation and, if possible, reach out to them with love and forgiveness. Jesus taught us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us (Matthew 5:44 WEB), indicating that reconciliation is a central theme in our faith.
