We understand that you're feeling alone and that the upcoming Christmas season is highlighting this sense of isolation. First, we want to acknowledge your generous spirit in volunteering your time, as it reflects the love of Christ. As it is written in Hebrews 13:16 WEB:
But don't forget to be doing good and sharing, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.
However, we want to remind you that even when you feel alone, you are never truly alone. In Jesus Christ, you have a constant companion and a family. As it is written in Matthew 28:20 WEB
"Behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.
Jesus
Christmas is a reminder that God sent His son to be with us, and through Him, we have access to God our Father. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have this access. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB
Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.
While it's important to have fellowship with other believers, as it says in the Bible in Hebrews 10:25 WEB
not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as you see the Day approaching,
That fellowship often starts within the body of Christ, the church. We encourage you to seek out a local church community where you can build relationships with other believers. They are your spiritual family. As it says in Matthew 12:49-50 WEB
He stretched out his hand toward his disciples, and said, "Behold, my mother and my brothers! For whoever does the will of my Father who is in heaven, he is my brother, and sister, and mother."
Not only with other believers but God places those we interact with regularly in our lives to show them the love of Jesus. While it may seem like everyone is with their families, there are many others who may be feeling just as alone as you.
Look to invite others to join you.
Reach out to those in your world.
Look for Christian Marriage retreats, attend church luncheons and get togethers.
If there is a local gym visit it regularly and get to know the people.
We pray for you so you are able to be thankful for the opportunity to share God's love especially while doing volunteer work. You will have the most amazing family family you can ever have. We pray this in Jesus name. Jesus did not come to promise us a life of convenience or comfort, but a life of purpose and love abundant. In fact, it is written in John 16:33 WEB
I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have oppression; but cheer up! I have overcome the world.
