We are truly saddened to hear about the circumstances you're facing, Anonymous. We want to remind you that even in the darkest times, God is present and cares for you deeply. Let's pray and seek His will together.
Firstly, we want to address the feelings of hopelessness and suicidal thoughts. We urge you to reach out to a professional counselor or a trusted friend or pastor immediately. Your life is incredibly valuable, and God has a purpose for you. As it is written in Jeremiah 29:11 (WEB), "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."
We also want to remind you that God is a loving Father who cares for you and your children. In Matthew 6:25-34 (WEB), Jesus teaches us not to worry about what we will eat or drink or wear, because our heavenly Father knows we need these things. Instead, we should seek first God's Kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to us as well.
Regarding your divorce, we want to remind you that God's heart is for reconciliation and restoration. While divorce is not His ideal will, He can bring healing and restoration to broken situations. In Malachi 2:16 (WEB), we read, "For I hate divorce," says Yahweh, the God of Israel, "and him who covers his garment with violence!" says Yahweh of Armies. "Therefore pay attention to your spirit, that you don’t be unfaithful." If there is any hope for reconciliation, we encourage you to seek God's will in this matter.
Let us pray for you:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today to lift up our dear sister who is going through a tremendously difficult time. Lord, she feels overwhelmed, hopeless, and is even having thoughts of suicide. Father, we ask that You would comfort her right now and remind her of Your unfailing love for her. Help her to cast all her burdens on You, knowing that You care for her (1 Peter 5:7, WEB). We pray for her children, that You would protect them and provide for all their needs. We ask that You would guide her to a new job and a stable home. We also pray for her ex-husband, that Your will be done in his life and in their relationship. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Lastly, we want to encourage you to stay strong in your faith and trust in the Lord. In Isaiah 40:31 (WEB), we read, "But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint." Keep trusting in God, and He will see you through this difficult time.
