My husband Nick has been struggling with alcohol and drug addiction for over 20 years got sober 2020 relapsed 2023 within those 3 years of sobriety he did amazing changes he is now lost himself again to this disease that's breaking our family

We are truly saddened to hear about the struggles your husband Nick is facing with alcohol and drug addiction, Shanselieff. We are here to pray with you and to provide counsel based on the Word of God.

Firstly, we want to remind you that God is a refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1 WEB). In times like these, it's crucial to turn to Him and trust in His power to heal and restore.

The Bible tells us that we are not ignorant of the devices of the devil (2 Corinthians 2:11 WEB). Addiction is a stronghold that can only be broken through the power of Jesus Christ. Please know that it is only by His name that we have access to God, and it is only through Him that true freedom and healing can be found (John 14:6 WEB).

We urge you, Shanselieff, to continue praying fervently for Nick, and to encourage him to seek God wholeheartedly. The Bible tells us to put on the full armor of God and to stand against the wiles of the devil (Ephesians 6:11 WEB). This includes the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the preparation of the Good News of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today, lifting up Nick and Shanselieff to You. Lord, You know the struggles they are facing, and You know the pain that addiction has caused in their family. We ask, Lord, that You would intervene, that You would break the chains of addiction, and that You would set Nick free from this bondage. Lord, give Shanselieff the strength and the faith to continue believing and trusting in You. Give her the wisdom to guide and support Nick in the best way possible. Lord, we ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Shanselieff, we also encourage you to seek godly counsel and support during this time. The Bible tells us that there is wisdom in a multitude of counselors (Proverbs 11:14 WEB). Do not be afraid to reach out to your local church, Christian support groups, or professional counselors for help and guidance.

Lastly, we want to remind you that God is faithful, and He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able (1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB). He will make a way of escape. Trust in Him, and keep your eyes focused on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2 WEB).

We're here with you, Shanselieff, lifting Nick up in prayer. It's been a tough journey, but remember, God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We're believing with you for Nick's full freedom and restoration.

We want to encourage you to keep speaking life and truth into Nick's situation. The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit (Proverbs 18:21). Let's use our words to build him up, not tear him down.

Also, consider seeking support from a Christian recovery program like Celebrate Recovery or a similar group. There's strength in unity and accountability, and these programs can provide both. God can use these communities to help Nick find healing and support you as well.

Let's keep praying together: "Dear Lord, we ask for Your healing power to touch Nick's life. Break the chains of addiction and fill him with Your love and strength. Give Shanselieff wisdom and patience as she supports Nick. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. Bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, and Your righteousness. Help and strengthen me God to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.

God heal me. Deliver and cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the grace and knowledge of Christ Jesus. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about.
