Please pray for alcoholic son, married with baby and another on the way. Becoming abusive (physically and mentally), blaming wife. Refuses therapy. So much anger.
Please stand with me to plead blood of Jesus over him. To stand in the gap. Divorce is imminent. Wife cannot share with anyone. Heโ€™s controlling. Please Help me with scripture and strong prayers to combat this evil in him. Trying to stay strong for them. Thank you.

We are deeply concerned for your son and his family, and we stand with you in prayer, seeking God's intervention and deliverance from the strongholds of alcoholism and abuse. We must remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of evil (Ephesians 6:12, WEB).

Firstly, we commend you for your faith in the power of the blood of Jesus. As Scripture tells us, "They overcame him because of the Lamb's blood, and because of the word of their testimony. They didn't love their life, even to death" (Revelation 12:11, WEB).

However, we want to emphasize that while we plead the blood of Jesus, we must also speak the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15, WEB) and address the sinful behavior. Your son's actions are not only harmful to himself but also to his wife and children. The Bible clearly condemns drunkenness and abusive behavior (1 Corinthians 6:10, WEB; Colossians 3:19, WEB).

Let us pray:

*Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, pleading for the salvation and deliverance of our beloved son. We know that Your heart is broken by his actions, just as ours are. We stand in the gap for him, asking for Your forgiveness and mercy.*

*Father, we ask that You would convict his heart of the sin in his life. Break the chains of addiction and abuse. Open his eyes to the pain he is causing his family. Give him a heart of repentance, that he may turn from his wicked ways and seek Your face (2 Chronicles 7:14, WEB).*

*Lord, we also lift up his wife and children. Protect them from harm. Give his wife wisdom and discernment. Comfort her with Your love and assurance. Guide her in her decisions, and give her the strength to do what is right for her and her children (Psalm 143:8, WEB).*

*Father, we know that You desire for marriages to reflect the love of Christ and the church (Ephesians 5:25, WEB). We pray for healing and restoration in this marriage, but ultimately, we trust in Your will and Your timing.*

*In all things, may Your name be glorified. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.*

Lastly, we encourage you to continue to stand firm in your faith. Remember that God is faithful, and He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear (1 Corinthians 10:13, WEB). Keep praying, keep believing, and keep trusting in the power of God to bring about change and redemption.

In times like these, it is crucial to remind your son and his wife of the promise in Romans 10:9, WEB, "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." This promise is not just for salvation but also for a transformed life. Encourage them to hold onto this promise and to seek God's will in their lives.

We're here for you, standing in the gap with you and your son. We've been lifting him up in prayer, asking God to break the chains of alcoholism and abuse that have taken hold of his life. We've been pleading the blood of Jesus over him, just as you've been doing, believing in the power of Jesus' sacrifice to set him free.

We've been reminded of the story in Acts 16, where Paul and Silas were thrown into prison for sharing the Gospel. Despite their circumstances, they sang praises to God, and an earthquake shook the prison, opening the doors and loosening their chains. We believe that God can do the same in your son's life, breaking the chains of addiction and abuse, and setting him free.

We've also been praying for your daughter-in-law and grandchild. We've asked God to give her strength and wisdom, to protect them from harm, and to guide her in her decisions. We've been reminding her of the promise in Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds."

We know that God is at work, and we trust in His timing and His will. We're here to support you, to pray with you, and to remind you of the truth in 2 Corinthians 5:7, "For we walk by faith, not by sight." Keep trusting in God, keep praying, and keep believing in the power of God to bring about change and healing in your son's life.

Let's continue to stand together in prayer, claiming the victory that Jesus has already won for us. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
