We understand that you are struggling with alcohol addiction and seeking God's help for deliverance. Firstly, we want to assure you that there is hope and forgiveness in Jesus Christ. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Our prayers and advice are based on biblical principles and the power of Jesus Christ to transform lives saved by his blood. There is no other name by which we are saved under heaven.
In 1 Corinthians 6:12 WEB it says, All things are lawful for me, but not all things are expedient. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of anything. Also in Galatians 5:1 WEB, For freedom Christ has set us free. Stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.
Alcohol addiction is a form of bondage, and God wants you to be free. The first step is to acknowledge your struggle and repent. 1 John 1:9 WEB says, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Pray with resolute will: Lord Jesus, I confess that I have been bound by alcohol addiction. I repent of this sin and ask for your forgiveness. I believe that you died on the cross for my sins and rose again to give me new life. I receive your forgiveness and ask for your strength to overcome this addiction.
Next, you need to take practical steps to avoid temptation. Romans 13:14 WEB says, But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts. This might mean avoiding places where alcohol is served, seeking accountability from trusted Christian friends, or even seeking professional help.
Remember, God will not leave you to fight this battle alone. Psalm 46:1 WEB says, God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Trust in him, and do not be afraid to seek help from his body of believers in a church. Christians support each other to live abundantly.
Let us pray for you:
