Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today with heavy hearts, lifting up Ronald in prayer. Lord, we know that addiction is a powerful and destructive force, but we also know that Your power is greater. Your Word says in 1 Corinthians 10:13, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it." Father, we pray that You provide Ronald with a way of escape from the grip of alcohol addiction.
Lord, we ask that You guide Ronald to take care of himself and to make choices that honor You and his own well-being. We pray that as he approaches the liquor store and smoke shop, You intervene and place a strong conviction in his heart. Let him feel a deep sense of discomfort and sickness when he takes his first shot of alcohol, so that he may turn away from it and seek help.
Father, we pray for peace and quiet in Camara's home and surroundings. We ask that You bring order and tranquility, and that Ronald would leave behind the chaos of addiction. Grant Camara the strength and patience to support Ronald through this difficult time, while also protecting their own peace and well-being.
We trust in Your unfailing love and mercy, Lord. We know that You are capable of transforming lives and breaking the chains of addiction. We claim the promise of Isaiah 41:10, "Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."
In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.
