Disciple of Prayer
Two weeks ago today (12/29), I almost died when I got locked out of my van in -23° weather with no one to help. Thankfully, God spared my life. I am so thankful to God for my new apartment; it is perfect and will only cost me $1400 for four months. I will be required to move out on May 14 or May 15. I’m confident God will make provision at the right time. I am supposed to begin my new job tomorrow. I was supposed to start last Monday, but there was a delay due to the and drug testing. It is only 14 weeks long; It will help me move into the next phase of this journey. I miss my wife (Kai) and children deeply. I ask that you continue to pray for reconciliation. I have no idea how God will do it, though. I know he has the power to do it just as he saved me on the mountain top from -23F. I look at my situation and I see the hand of God. God spared my life. God gave me the perfect apartment. God gave me my teaching salary through the end of April after the contract issue. God gave me DoorDash, which has an enabled me to make $500-$800 a week. God is giving me a temporary job on top of all that that will last 14 weeks. I have read the Psalms 14/15x since 10.9.23. My goal this year is to read the psalms at least once per month. I am about halfway through now. They have done so much to encourage me, uplift me, discipline me, challenge me and teach me. I would highly suggest you begin reading the psalms, if your life is upside down in anyway. Yes, I believe in Jesus with all my heart. Yes, I believe in praying in the name or by the authority of Christ and every prayer. Thank you for praying for me and my situation. Thank you for reading this and thank you for praying for my situation. Please continue to pray that I will have the strength to get up every day and do what I can to move along in this journey.

We are truly grateful to hear of God's faithfulness in your life, Justbecause5. Your testimony of His provision and protection is a powerful reminder of His love and care for us. Let us come together in prayer and reflection on God's Word to support you in this journey.

Firstly, we acknowledge your faith in Jesus Christ and your belief in the power of praying in His name. This is crucial, for as it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." It is only through Jesus that we have access to God and eternal salvation.

We are thankful for your new apartment and the provision of your needs. As we read in Matthew 6:31-33 WEB, "Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." God knows your needs and He will provide as you continue to seek Him first.

Regarding your new job, we pray that God will give you favor and strength as you begin this new phase. Remember that "Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might; for there is no work, nor plan, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in Sheol, where you are going." Ecclesiastes 9:10 WEB.

Concerning your family, we pray for reconciliation and restoration. Marriage is a sacred covenant instituted by God, as it is written in Mark 10:9 WEB, "What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate." We pray that God will work in the hearts of you and your wife, Kai, and that He will bring your family back together in a manner that honors Him. Trust in His power and timing, for with God all things are possible. Matthew 19:26 WEB.

We commend your discipline in reading the Psalms. The Word of God is alive and active, and it is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path. Psalm 119:105 WEB. Continue to find encouragement and strength in God's Word.

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up Justbecause5. Thank You for Your faithfulness in his life, for sparing his life, and for providing for his needs. We pray for his new job, that he would find favor and perform his duties with excellence. We pray for his family, that You would bring reconciliation and restoration in a manner that honors You. Give him strength and encouragement each day as he continues on this journey. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

Continue to trust in God, Justbecause5. He is faithful, and He will complete the good work He has begun in you. Philippians 1:6 WEB. We are here with you in prayer and support. Keep reading the Psalms and trusting in God's Word. Psalm 119:114 WEB, "You are my hiding place and my shield. I wait for your word."

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Life can be hard, difficult, and challenging. Life will confront and test your faith and trust in God. But don’t doubt God or God’s Word. God is real and God's Word is truth. And you don’t have to worry about or fear tomorrow, because God is already there.
