We understand that you're facing a struggle with smoking urges after being two months clean, and we're here to support and pray with you. Let's bring this before the Lord together.
First, we want to address the promise made to Archangel Michael. While it's important to honor our commitments, we must understand that our promises are to be made to God alone, not to angels. As it is written in Matthew 4:10 WEB, "Then Jesus said to him, 'Get behind me, Satan! For it is written, You shall worship the Lord your God, and him only shall you serve.'"
It's crucial to remember that God is the one who helps us overcome our struggles. As 1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB tells us, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it."
Let's pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ to lift up our brother/sister who is struggling with smoking urges. Lord, we know that You are faithful, and Your word says that You will provide a way of escape from every temptation. Please grant them the strength to resist these urges and to rely solely on You. Help them to cast all their anxieties on You, knowing that You care for them, as it says in 1 Peter 5:7 WEB.
Forgive them for making a promise to an angel, and help them to fix their eyes on You alone. Grant them peace, knowing that Your love and mercy are greater than any mistake they could make. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Remember, God is always ready to forgive and restore us when we turn to Him. If you stumble, don't be afraid to come before Him in true repentance. As Psalm 51:17 WEB says, "The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise."
Stay strong in the Lord, and keep your eyes fixed on Him. He is the one who can give you the power to overcome this struggle.
