We join with you, dear ###, in lifting up your daughters, ### and ###, to the throne of grace. We pray that God, in His infinite wisdom and love, will guide them in this significant journey.
Firstly, let us remember the words of Proverbs 18:22 (WEB), "Whoever finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor of Yahweh." While this verse is directed at men, it underscores the importance of marriage and the blessing it brings. We pray that your daughters will be a blessing to their future husbands, and that they too will be blessed in return.
We pray, dear Lord, that You connect ### and ### with godly men who fear You and follow Your commands. As Proverbs 31:10-31 describes, may their future husbands be men of integrity, strength, and wisdom, who will love them truly and faithfully, as Christ loved the church (Ephesians 5:25).
We also pray that your daughters will be discerning in their choices, keeping in mind the words of 2 Corinthians 6:14 (WEB), "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?" We encourage your daughters to seek God first (Matthew 6:33), ensuring that their future husbands are Believers, committed to a lifelong marriage covenant as ordained by God.
We rebuke any temptation to embrace worldly standards of relationships. We pray that your daughters will uphold purity and holiness, abstaining from any form of sexual immorality (1 Thessalonians 4:3-8), and that they will prepare themselves spiritually, emotionally, and physically for God's chosen husbands for them.
Lastly, we pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for it is through Him that we have access to God (John 14:6). We encourage you, ###, to continually teach your daughters about the love and faithfulness of our Lord Jesus Christ, so that they too will experience the fullness of His love in their marriages. Amen.
