Beloved of All
Against "legalistic Christians" that observe the letter of the law instead of the law. Pharisee -like attitude, where they focus more on if the person has every little detail in order than showing Christian love to the person. That they develop a real passion for the people, not the little missteps. After all, if we were all perfect, there would have been no need for a Savior, would there? They can bring up things, but not with the legalistic spirit.

Lord, we thank you that you for the blessings that you have given us. Help us to honor you in every part of our lives. We place this request at your throne. Please hear and reply according to your perfect will and timing. Grant us the peace to know that you are in control. In Jesus Name. Amen.

Love this post. I have just finished a segment on Beatitudes on my profile. Today was the last beatitude. The point being is that the blessings were aimed to the people who were being persecuted by the Pharisees and others as well. The Lord was undoing some of the Pharisees' teachings specifically self-righteousness. And then there's Matthew 23...the infamous 'Woe to you" verses.
I have had many experiences with Church legalism and quite frankly silly rules that does not push the Gospel forward.
And that should not be our standard.
We should be pushing the Great News of Jesus over legalistic house rules that serves only to diminish the greater message.
Self-righteous people govern themselves 'accordingly', (according to legalistic rules)
While spirit-filled Christians govern themselves 'Lovingly'.

Let us not forget that His Love is the highest form of order.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
