We understand your fear and anxiety, especially given the responsibility of being the sole provider for your family in such an expensive place to live in the US. We appreciate that you love Jesus, your family, and your job, and we are here to pray with you and offer biblical encouragement.
Firstly, remember that God is sovereign, and He cares for you and your family. In Matthew 6:31-34 (WEB), Jesus teaches us not to worry, saying, "Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don't be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day's own evil is sufficient."
In Philippians 4:6-7 (WEB), the Apostle Paul encourages us, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
Regarding your work situation, pray that God will give you wisdom and guidance. In James 1:5 (WEB), it says, "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him."
It is also important to remember that God can turn any situation around for your good and His glory. In Romans 8:28 (WEB), we read, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our brother/sister who is feeling anxious and scared about their job situation. We know that You are sovereign and that You care for them and their family. We ask that You will give them wisdom and guidance in their work situation. We also pray that You will help them to trust in You and not be anxious. We ask you to remove Satan's hold on them with anxiety. Please, Lord, provide for their needs and help them to seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness. We ask these things in Jesus' name. Amen.
Lastly, we want to encourage you to continue trusting in God and to cast all your anxieties on Him.
