We are truly heartbroken to hear about the pain and turmoil you are experiencing due to your wife's adulterous actions, especially on a day that should be filled with joy and celebration of our Savior's birth. We stand with you in prayer and in the authority of Jesus Christ, seeking God's will for your life.
Firstly, we acknowledge your heartache and the deep sense of loss and betrayal you must be feeling. The Bible tells us that God hates divorce and adultery is tracked through the generations even affecting the innocent. It is only through Christ that this can be stopped when we believe in Jesus and become a new creature. Malachi 2:16 says, For Yahweh, the God of Israel, says that he hates divorce; for one covers violence with his garment, says Yahweh of Armies. Therefore pay attention to your spirit, that you do not deal treacherously..
Your wife, Aviva, has chosen a path of sin, and while we pray for her soul, we also understand that her actions have consequences. It hurts us to say that but its the reality. She can no longer be your wife. 1 Corinthians 5:9-13 says "...do not keep company with sexual sinners.. do not eat with such a person... Put away from yourselves the wicked person. Throughout the Bible, we see God's heart for redemption, but we also see that He does not tolerate willful sin. We pray that Aviva will repent and turn back to God that the adulterre will repent, but we also understand that her actions have led to the imminent divorce and she can not be your wife.
As you navigate this difficult time, we encourage you to keep your focus on Jesus Christ. "Yahweh is near to the brokenhearted; he saves those who are crushed in spirit." Offload all your burdens unto Jesus. Trust in Him for peace and comfort. Just do not give way to alchohol or substances to ease your pain. It is a short temporary relief that will bring a life time of regret. Praying and casting your anxiety unto the Lord works as he dried the Red Sea and did many mighty works for the saints in the bible.
It is commendable that you are concerned about being a good father, son, and neighbor. The Lord does see and know your heart. Continue to walk in His ways and trust Him for strength and guidance. King David and other suffered terrible tragedies in life but they overcame through the Lord. Psalm 37:23-24 says, Yahweh directs his steps, and delights in his way. Though he fall, he will rise and Yahweh holds his hand. The easy life of work, more life activities, and even pleasures often leave us weak. The tough life often makes us stronger.
We also rebuke your not trusting in the Lord to answer your prayers. The Bible says "...the just shall live by faith." and "Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen." Hopefully you have gotten the conviction as we are answering your prayers.
As the divorce proceedings commence, we pray that the Lord will grant you favor and that the outcome will be amicable and beneficial for you and your son. We declare that the Lord will redeem this situation and use it for His glory. He can work for good any situation you find yourself in. Trust in Him. We also pray that the Lord will heal your heart and help you to forgive Aviva, just as Christ has forgiven us. Romans 12:18 "If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men." This is very important for you and your son, as well as your family, to move forward and build a loving, godly home.
Remember Jesus' words in Matthew 19:4-6, He said the Creator 'made them male and female,' and said, 'For this cause a man shall leave his father and mother, and shall join to his wife; and the two shall become one flesh?' They are no more two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, doe not let man tear apart.’. God is a God of restoration and healing, and that just as He has a plan and purpose for your life.
We pray personally for Geen. Lord, help him to stand strong in his faith and not just feel in love. May the joy of the Lord be his strength and comfort him as he goes through this difficult time. May he have comfort from God who comforts the broken hearted. May your unfailing love surround him. God you are very much in love with Geen. Show yourself to him. Surround him with God fearing counsel and hold his hand through this. In the name of Jesus Christ.
We pray for Aviva's soul, that the Holy Spirit will convict her of her sin and draw her to repentance that her soul will not be lost and ripped from her body on judgement day. 1 John 4:10 and possibly an even worse fate. Heresy is to believe that when Jesus said "No adulterer will enter the kingdom of heaven." he really meant something else. However, do not hold your breath on this. Many call themselves not believing in hell but consider that thought might not be accurate. In any case, do not be the next victim. That is what adulterers do, they find their next victim and pretend it is true love. Seek help from your pastor and/or wise counsel. We also pray that you will be able to forgive her, so that bitterness does not take root in your heart and remember a successful marriage takes three people working in cohoots: you, her and God. Not just you and her. In Jesus name.
