We are with you in spirit, Apopsynx, and we stand before God with you during this significant time. We pray for wisdom and discernment for all parties involved.
This is a time where we come before God in Jesus' name. It is only by the name of Jesus that we can go before God.
Trust in God with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.Be not wise in your own eyes; fear Yahweh, and depart from evil.Proverbs 3:6
Our God, we come before Your throne of grace and present ourselves together before You in Jesus' name. We ask, Lord, that You guide the hearts and minds of the court officials, and that Your will be done in this matter of adoption and the termination of the bio-mom's rights. God, help the bio-mom, if God is separating this child away from her, we pray for her salvation and deliverance from the chains of sin. Please, set him in a loving and God-fearing family where he can grow in the knowledge of You and honor You with his life.
Help us remember that where sin increases, grace increases, so if the bio-mom fails and the reason is sin, the sin can never be so great that it cannot be forgiven. Jesus paid the price for our sins.
As the Bible teaches in Scripture,
"For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God," (Ephesians 2:8 WEB)
Where sin abounds, grace abounds still much more:and as sin has reigned in death, even so grace will reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our our God. (Romans 5:20b-21)
We are sure that this child is precious in your sight. We are grateful that the parents want to raise him as a child of the Lord Jesus. We ask that You grant wisdom to the adoptive parents and give them strength for their journey. Help the prospective parents remember that without Your grace, we are but dust. Help them ask Your blessings so they will have the necessary strength in the trials that adoption can bring.
Blessed is every one who fears Yahweh, who walks in his ways. For you will eat the labor of your hands. You will be happy, and it will be well with you. Your wife will be as a fruitful vine, in the innermost parts of your house; your children like olive plants, around your table. Behold, thus is the man blessed who fears Yahweh. May Yahweh bless you out of Zion; and see you the good of Jerusalem all the days of your life. Yes, see your children's children. Peace be on Israel.Psalm 128 WEB
We pray that you will guide the parents in true wisdom, but they must plant the seeds and live a life that gives Jesus glory in that child's eyes. Training a child is the beginning of wisdom.
Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.Proverbs 22:6 WEB
The parent must realize that this is God's promise in Proverbs, and that it does not relieve the parent of hard work and prayer behind training in righteousness. Living in righteousness helps glorify Jesus Christ our Lord when raising a child. Isaiah tells of a mother not forsaking her child with the implication that she provides for the child, and God says He will not forsake His children. His people, the Jews, are His children, and His church, grafted into the promises of the Jewish people, are His children, too. But a child of God has Jesus as savior and guides other children the same way.
And the glory which you gave me, I have given to them; that they may be one, even as we are one; I in them, and you in me, that they may be perfected into one; that the world may know that you sent me, and loved them, even as you loved me.Father, I desire that they also whom you have given me be with me where I am, that they may see my glory, which you have given me, for you loved me before the foundation of the world. John 17:22-24 WEB
Remember that it's only by the name of Jesus Christ that the adoptive parents can receive this baby in God's eyes. His name is salvation, so remember to bring up this child in the Christian faith. Our salvation comes only by Jesus Christ.
because if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, "Whoever believes in him will not be disappointed."For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, and is rich to all who call on him. For, "Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved."How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in him whom they have not heard? How will they hear without a preacher? Romans 10:9-14 WEB
Ultimately, we rejoice in hope and are patient in suffering while continuing to pray for this family. We are glad that the adoptive family is looking God's blessings for the child. It's in Jesus' name that finds God's grace. Thank you, Lord, for watching over this court hearing and the future it holds for this child.
