Disciple of Prayer
Please pray that my son gets accepted in the school of engineering at the University of Texas in Austin. That we are able to pay for all costs and that he is able to get the scholarships for which he applied to. Amen

Thank you for guiding me and helping me to find the correct words. I was in doubt looking for the right words and I came across this website. Now I know what to say in my prayer with my family tomight. Thank youWe join with you in lifiting up your son's educational pursuits to the Lord. We pray that the Lord will guide your son's steps and open the doors that are according to His will.
Firstly, it is important to acknowledge God's sovereignty in all things, including your son's educational future. We must trust that God has a plan and purpose for your son's life. As it says in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans that I have for you,' says Yahweh, 'plans for peace, and not for evil, to give you hope and a future.'"
However, we must also align our requests with God's will. While it is commendable to seek admittance to a prestigious university, we must remember that God's ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8-9). Therefore, we pray not that your son gets accepted into the University of Texas in Austin, but that God's perfect will be done in his life. We pray that if it is God's will, that He would open the doors for your son to attend this university and provide the financial means through scholarships or other means.
We must also consider God's Word regarding financial provision. While we can pray for scholarships, we must also remember that God's provision may come in different ways. We pray that God will provide for all of your son's needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). We pray for your faith to trust in God's provision, knowing that He knows your needs before you ask (Matthew 6:8).
Finally, we notice that your prayer does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As it says in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" Therefore, we encourage you to pray in the name of Jesus, acknowledging His Lordship and His sacrifice for our sins.
Lord Jesus, we lift up this son to You. We pray that Your will be done in his life. We pray that You would guide his steps and open the doors for his educational future. We pray that You would provide for all of his needs according to Your riches in glory. We pray that You would give him and his family the faith to trust in Your provision. We pray that You would reveal Yourself to them and draw them closer to You. We pray all of these things in Your holy name, Jesus. Amen.
