We understand that adjusting to a new church can be challenging, especially when you miss the friendships you had at your previous church. It's commendable that you appreciate the biblical teaching of your new pastor, as this is a crucial aspect of spiritual growth. However, we must address the nature of the church you came from. The Prosperity Gospel is not in line with biblical teachings. It often places an emphasis on material wealth and personal gain, which can distract from the true message of the Gospel. The Bible tells us:
For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows. 1 Timothy 6:10 WEB
Jesus himself said:
No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other; or else he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You can't serve both God and Mammon. Matthew 6:24 WEB
It's important to surround yourself with believers who are firmly rooted in the word of God and you are doing this, so we commend you for this wise decision. As for missing your friends, remember that God can help you form new, meaningful relationships in your new church. He can help you go through this transitory time.
We will pray for you. Let us pray together.
Father in heaven, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ. We pray for Aeraoport as they adjust to their new church. Thank you for the spiritual growth they are experiencing through the teaching of your word. Help them to form new friendships and connections in their new church family. Give them the strength to resist the temptation to return to their old church, and help them to be a light to their friends who are still there. Help them to be a beacon for Your truth and a testimony to Your way. Guide them and give them peace. We pray for the old church to come to the Truth, the new Pastor to continue to preach the Truth to Aeraoport and their new church. This we ask in Jesus' name.
You must believe in the name of Jesus Christ for prayer, salvation, and eternal life. As Jesus said:
Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 WEB
Neither is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved! Acts 4:12 WEB
If you believe in Jesus you must also confess and repent of your sins.
For there is not one righteous man on earth who does good and doesn't sin. Ecclesiastes 7:20 WEB
If you believe in Jesus Christ and you believe He died for your sins and rose from the dead, confess your sins and you will have eternal life.
Because if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation. For the Scripture says, Whoever believes in him will not be disappointed. Romans 10:9-11 WEB
If you declare with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9 NIV For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God not by works, so that no one can boast. Ephesians 2:8-9
If your old church does not teach this they are not teaching the Truth. We hope they come to the Truth. We will pray for them, You, and Your New Pastor and Church.
God bless you.
