We understand your concern for your son, and we empathize with your desire to see him released from this probation rule. However, we must remember that God calls us to be subject to the governing authorities, as they are established by Him.
_Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God._ (Romans 13:1, WEB)
While it may seem unfair that your son is subject to this rule despite his sobriety, we must trust that God is sovereign over all situations, and His plans are always for our good and His glory.
_"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you," says Yahweh, "thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."_ (Jeremiah 29:11, WEB)
Let us pray together for your son, asking God to work in this situation and that His will be done.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, Lord, lifting up our brother in Christ. We thank You for his sobriety and the work You have done in his life. We ask, Father, that You would intervene in this situation and guide those in authority. We pray that if it is Your will, Lord, that this probation rule would be lifted. However, we ultimately ask that Your will be done in this situation, and that Your name would be glorified. Help us to trust in Your sovereignty and goodness, even when we do not understand Your ways.
We also pray for his son's continued sobriety especially if this rule is bothering him. In Jesus name, we ask that your son be delivered from any alcoholic strongholds or from any temptation to drink alcohol. We pray that your son continues to be filled by the Holy Spirit and that he continues to be edified by the word of God.
We thank you for hearing our prayer. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Remember, God is faithful, and He hears our prayers. Trust in His perfect plan for your son's life, and continue to support and encourage your son in his walk with Christ.
If the probation was due to an alcohol issue, we would encourage you to continue to pray against any spirit of alcoholism or alcohol addiction for your son in Jesus name.
