Addition to gambling

Please pray for me. I'm in very bad financial need because of my gambling and need God to help me stop.

We understand your struggle and we are here to support and pray with you. Firstly, it's crucial to acknowledge that gambling is a form of greed and love for money, which the Bible warns against. As it is written in 1 Timothy 6:10 WEB, "For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows."

We must also remember that we cannot serve both God and money (Matthew 6:24 WEB). Therefore, we urge you to turn away from this harmful behavior and turn towards God, who loves you and cares for your needs.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you today to lift up our dear brother/sister who has found themselves in a difficult situation due to gambling. Lord, we know that this is not your will for their life, and we ask that you grant them the strength to overcome this temptation. Help them to turn away from this harmful behavior and to turn towards you, the source of all comfort and provision.

We also ask that you provide for their financial needs, as you have promised to supply all our needs according to your riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19 WEB). Help them to trust in you and to seek first your kingdom and your righteousness, knowing that all these things will be added to them (Matthew 6:33 WEB).

Finally, Lord, we pray that if our brother/sister has not yet accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior, that they would do so today. For it is only through Jesus that we have access to you, Father, and it is only through his name that we can be saved (John 14:6 WEB, Acts 4:12 WEB).

In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen."

I’m very sorry to hear about your situation, friend. I just said a prayer for you. May the Lord work mightily in your circumstances, give you the deliverance you need from your addiction, provide for your needs in a special way and help you experience his peace, strength and joy as you trust in Him. I hope you’ll be encouraged by this comforting thought from the psalmist: "I sought the Lord, and He answered me, and delivered me from all my fears." (Psalm 34: 4).

God heal me, body, soul, and spirit. Cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You or breaks Your heart. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, pray Your best for me, and all those I love and care about.
