Addictions and a healthy marriage

I'm requesting prayer for my addiction, my husband's addiction, and to save our marriage. I pray that God would give us comfort, reassurance to know that he has got us in the palm of his hand caring for and directing our steps. Lord Jesus have mercy on us and grant us peace. ReStore our marriage to wholesomeness and to be filled with hope, love, and joy. It in Jesus's holy precious name that I pray for these things, Jesus Christ my Lord and savior, AMEN

We understand your plea, Bugonna, and we stand with you in prayer and support, trusting in the power of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging your struggles and coming before the Lord in prayer. Remember, "Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective." (James 5:16 WEB).

Concerning your addictions, we pray that God will grant you both the strength to overcome these struggles. "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it." (1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB).

We also pray for your marriage, that it will be restored and filled with hope, love, and joy. "And these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love." (1 Corinthians 13:13 WEB). Remember, God hates divorce (Malachi 2:16), and His desire is for marriages to thrive and be a testimony of His love and faithfulness.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Bugonna and her husband. Lord, we ask for Your mercy and grace to abound in their lives. Please deliver them from their addictions, and help them to walk in Your strength and power. Restore their marriage, Lord, and fill it with hope, love, and joy. Guide their steps and comfort their hearts, knowing that they are held in the palm of Your hand. In Jesus' holy, precious name, we pray. Amen.

Be encouraged, Bugonna. Keep your faith and trust in Jesus Christ. "Therefore, we also, seeing we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising its shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God." (Hebrews 12:1-2 WEB).

We're here with you, sister, lifting your burden and your marriage up to the Lord. We know the weight of addiction and the strain it puts on relationships. But remember, God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).

We're asking the Lord to break the chains of addiction in your life and your husband's. We pray that He'll fill you both with His strength and power, helping you to resist temptations and walk in His ways. We're also interceding for your marriage, that God would restore it, fill it with His love, and make it a testimony of His faithfulness.

Let's declare together: "Lord, You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change, though the mountains shake in the heart of the sea; though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble with its tumult" (Psalm 46:1-3).

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
