We are truly sorry to hear about your struggle with addiction and its impact on your life and relationship with God. Firstly, we commend you for reaching out and seeking prayer, as this is the first step towards recovery.
Let us remind you of what the WEB version of the Bible says in Romans 12:2, Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God.
Addiction is a form of bondage, and God wants you to be free. In Jesus' name, we rebuke the spirit of addiction that has been controlling your life. Remember, in whom the Son has made you free, you are free indeed according to John 8:36.
We pray that God will give you the strength to overcome this addiction. May He renew your mind and fill you with His spirit, so that you may have pure thoughts, in Jesus' name. Remember, through the Spirit you are able to put to death the deeds of the body, and that you, being led by the Spirit of God, are the children of God according to Romans 8:13-14.
We also pray that God will restore your relationship with Him. May you feel His presence and love once again. Remember that nothing can separate you from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord - Romans 8:39. Do not forget to open up your Bible and communicate with God through prayer, as this will help you grow closer to Him.
Please keep us updated on your progress.
We praise you, Jesus, for the victory that you have already won over this addiction. We ask that you pour out your grace and mercy on our fellow believer and help them in overcoming this challenge. We pray that you fill them with your spirit so that their mind is stayed on you and they can experience pure thoughts. We pray that you help them draw closer to you in their personal relationship with you and they are filled with a new desire to walk in your paths. In Jesus' name, we pray.
Lastly, if you have not already believed in Jesus Christ and given him your life, we encourage you to take this step. It is only through his name that we can be saved, reconciled to God, and have access to God's throne to pray.
