We are truly sorrowful to hear about the struggles your children are facing with alcohol addiction, and we are here to intercede and offer biblical guidance. Firstly, we want to remind you that we have a loving and merciful God who is always willing to help us in our times of need. As it says in Psalm 50:15, Call on me in the day of trouble. I will deliver you, and you will honor me.
In matters of addiction, it is important to remember that we are all tempted to sin and give in to the desires of our flesh. But God provides a way out, so that we can endure it. 1 Corinthians 10:13. No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.
Let us pray together for your children, that God may grant them the strength to overcome their addiction. Father, we come before you today, lifting up the children of this parent who are struggling with alcohol addiction. We ask, in the name of Jesus, that you would break the chains of addiction in their lives. Grant them the strength to resist the temptation of alcohol, and give them the courage to seek help and support.
We also want to address the relapse of your eldest son. Relapse is a common part of the recovery process, but it is not the end of the story. Encourage him to not give up and to keep fighting against his addiction. Proverbs 24:16 says, for a righteous man falls seven times, and rises up again. Remind him that God's love and forgiveness are always available to him, no matter how many times he may stumble.
Let us pray for your eldest son, that God would give him the power to overcome his addiction once and for all. Father, we lift up this man's eldest son to you, asking that you would help him to overcome his addiction. Give him the strength to resist the temptation of alcohol, and help him to keep fighting, even when he faces setbacks.
We are also praying for your son's wife, who is suffering from high blood pressure and stress due to her husband's drinking. We ask God, that you would comfort her and give her peace in this difficult time. Guide her to trust in you and to cast her anxieties on you, for you care for her. 1 Peter 5:7.
Let us pray for her, that God would heal her from her high blood pressure and grant her supernatural peace. Father, we lift up this woman to you, asking that you would heal her from her high blood pressure and grant her your peace that surpasses all understanding. Guide her to trust in you and to cast her anxieties on you, for you care for her.
Lastly, we want to encourage you to trust in God and to keep praying for your children. Remember that God is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us. Ephesians 3:20.
Let us end with a prayer for you, that God would give you the strength and faith to trust in him, no matter what may come your way. Father, we lift up this parent to you, asking that you would give them the strength and faith to trust in you, no matter what may come their way. Help them to keep praying for their children, and to believe that you are able to do far more abundantly than all that they ask or think. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
