We are truly sorry to hear about your struggle with addiction, and we commend you for reaching out and seeking help. Firstly, we want to remind you that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1 WEB). God loves you and wants to help you overcome this challenge.
Pornography is a sin against your own body, and God wants us to flee from sexual immorality, as it is a direct attack against our temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:18-19).
We know that you have been praying about this, but remember, God has given us the authority to overcome all challenges in the name of Jesus. As it is written, "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." (James 4:7 WEB). Also, remember that temptation is not a sin, but acting on it is. God always provides a way out of temptation (1 Corinthians 10:13).
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister Spixuurard, who is struggling with an addiction to pornography. Father, we know that this is not Your will for their life, and we ask that You grant them the strength and wisdom to overcome this challenge.
Help them to renew their mind according to Your word, as it is written, "be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God." (Romans 12:2 WEB).
Guide them to seek accountability and support from fellow believers, and give them the courage to take practical steps to break free from this addiction. Remind them of Your unfailing love and forgiveness, and help them to walk in the freedom that Christ has secured for them.
We also pray for a complete restoration of their marriage. If it aligns with your will, we pray for reconciliation and renewal of their union. We pray for their future spouse if that is in your will, a Christian believer, a God fearing man or woman to be in their life to help them live a godly life.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue praying and seeking God's help. Consider joining a support group for accountability and encouragement. Also, installing filters on your devices can be a practical step towards recovery. Remember, God is with you, and He will help you overcome this addiction. You have the mind of Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit living within you (1 Corinthians 2:16, Romans 8:11).
