We are here with you, Anonymous, and we appreciate your sincere request for prayer and support. Firstly, we want to acknowledge your courage in reaching out and seeking help for your addiction. This is a significant step towards your healing and spiritual growth. We will intercede in this journey, but we need to address a few things.
Now we know that the law is good, if a man uses it lawfully, as knowing this, that law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and insubordinate, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, (1 Timothy 1:8-9 WEB).
Addiction is a form of bondage, and God wants you to be free. Jesus didn't come to condemn you but to save you and set you free.
Submit to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. (James 4:7-8 WEB).
While we will pray for your forgiveness and blessings, we also need to make sure that you know that your addiction did not stop God from loving you but it did stop you from loving God. You should search your heart to make sure that you believe in Jesus Christ. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB)
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Anonymous who is struggling with addiction. We ask for your forgiveness. We confess their sins of addiction and ask that you will let your Holy Spirit come upon them to help them to overcome their temptation. Lord, we ask that you bless them with the determination and strength to overcome this battle. Help them to draw near to you, Oh God and to trust in you.
Surround Anonymous with your divine presence, and guide them through the path of recovery and restoration. Help them to live a life free from addiction. Show them their purpose. We ask these things in the precious name of Jesus. Amen.
We encourage you to stay strong and know that God is with you, cheering you on.
To walk away from addiction you should first put your faith in Jesus Christ. Then you need to cut off any ties that you have to your addiction. You need to stop associating with anyone or anything that you associate with your addiction.
Then if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. (2 Chronicles 7:14 WEB).
