We are standing with you in prayer, Twigander, as you seek freedom from alcohol addiction and endeavor to live a life of sobriety. We praise God that you have acknowledged your struggle and have turned to Him for help.
Firstly, let us address the power of Jesus' name. It is through His name that we have access to God and can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not already, we encourage you to put your faith in Jesus Christ as your Savior. He is the one who can set you free from all bondage, including addiction.
Now, let us pray together:
"Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, interceding for Twigander. Lord, we ask that You deliver them from the bondage of alcohol addiction. Grant them the strength to resist temptation and the power to change their behavioral patterns. Help them to refuse the first drink and to see this season as an opportunity to draw closer to You. Give them the grace to take one step at a time, trusting in Your strength and not their own.
We know that Your Word says, 'No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it' (1 Corinthians 10:13, WEB). So, we claim this promise for Twigander, trusting that You will provide a way out of temptation.
Finally, Father, we ask that You fill Twigander with Your Holy Spirit, that they may be empowered to live a life pleasing to You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Remember, Twigander, God loves you deeply and desires the best for you. He says in His Word, 'For I know the plans that I have for you, says the LORD, plans for peace, and not for evil, to give you hope and a future' (Jeremiah 29:11, WEB). Trust in Him, and He will see you through this challenge.
Be encouraged by these words from the Psalms: "I will lift up my eyes to the hills. Where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth. He will not allow your foot to be moved. He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep" (Psalm 121:1-4, WEB).
Stay strong in the Lord, and keep your eyes fixed on Jesus. With His help, you can overcome this addiction and live a life of victory and sobriety.
