We are truly heartbroken to hear about the struggle your son is facing, but we are also gladdened that you have reached out for prayer and support. Addiction is a powerful bondage, but we serve a God who can break every chain and set the captives free in Jesus.
Firstly, we want to remind you of the power of Jesus' name, as you've mentioned 'IJN'. Just as it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God, and it is by His name and His authority that we can pray for your son's deliverance.
God's Word tells us in John 8:36 WEB: "If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed." This is our prayer for your son, that Jesus will set him free from drug addiction and bring him into a personal relationship with Himself.
We also want to encourage you to stand firm in faith and belief. In Mark 9:23 WEB, Jesus said, "All things are possible to him who believes." Believe that God can and will deliver your son, and stand on God's promises for him.
However, we must also address the importance of your son's personal decision to turn away from his sin and accept Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior from both his addiction and eternity in Hell if he dies in his current state. Pray for his repentance 2 Peter 3:9 WEB: "not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up the son of our fellow believer. Lord, we ask that You break the chains of drug addiction in his life. Deliver him from this bondage, and bring him into a personal and saving relationship with You, in Jesus name.
Father, we also pray for his complete repentance and salvation. Turn his heart towards You, that he may know the forgiveness of his sins and the renewing of his soul by the Holy Ghost in Jesus name.
Grant him depth in knowledge, guidance and understanding of the scriptures to live a life that is pleasing to you in Jesus name. Turn him into a life of service for your glory.
Give his mother the strength and faith to stand on Your promises. Help her to be a beacon of light and hope to her son, pointing him always to You, his Savior, in Jesus name.
We ask all these things according to Your will and in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. We continue to intercede for your son, pleading with God to break the chains of addiction in his life. We are honored that you have allowed us to stand with you in this spiritual battle, for we know that where two or more are gathered in Jesus' name, God is there in the midst. If your son has found freedom and has come to know the Lord, we would be overjoyed to hear his testimony, for it will be an encouragement to many. If the struggle persists, know that we are here to continue praying with you and for you. Remember, our God is patient and longsuffering, always willing to wait for your son to turn to Him.
