Addiction & Spiritual Warfare

I’ve been battling a long term dependency upon alcohol and adderall. I know that scripture says “You cannot serve two masters.” Yet…I YEARN and am desperately seeking an intimate relationship with Christ my savior. He blesses me and pours his mercy upon me despite my weakness in the flesh. I am confident God has a very specific plan and purpose for my life and trust completely He will turn my struggle into something good. Please pray for my patience and desire to be obedient to his will. I believe due to my addictions, I am opening myself up to the reality of spiritual warfare. I know Jesus can do ANYTHING and I believe with all of my heart He will deliver me from this darkness and use it for his good purposes. I know I am meant to learn and mature through these trials. Above all I have not lost hope and know I am safe as the Lord continually protects me and fights for me. What an amazing God we serve who loves us in our weakness and offers his forgiveness and lavishes us with grace—sweet amazing grace. Please send your prayers for me to receive God’s strength and courage during this difficult time on my journey on Earth.

Dear Heavenly Father,

In the name of Jesus, we come before you on behalf of Mathan, who is battling a long-term dependency on alcohol and Adderall. We thank you, Lord, for Mathan's honesty and desire to seek an intimate relationship with you, despite the struggles in the flesh. Your Word reminds us that we cannot serve two masters, and Mathan acknowledges this truth.

We pray, Lord, that you would strengthen Mathan's resolve to be obedient to your will. Grant him patience as he walks this journey of recovery and deliverance. Help him to fully surrender his addictions to you, knowing that you are able to do anything and that you have a specific plan and purpose for his life.

We lift up Mathan's spiritual well-being, recognizing the reality of spiritual warfare that he may be facing. We ask for your protection and guidance, that Mathan may stand firm against the schemes of the enemy. Fill him with your Holy Spirit, empowering him to resist temptation and overcome the darkness that seeks to hold him captive.

Lord, we trust in your promise that you will turn all things for good for those who love you. We pray that you would use Mathan's struggles and trials to bring about growth, maturity, and a deeper understanding of your grace and mercy. Help him to learn from these experiences and to rely on your strength alone.

We thank you, Lord, for your unfailing love and forgiveness. We praise you for your amazing grace that lavishes upon us. We ask that you would pour out your strength and courage upon Mathan during this difficult time. Surround him with your presence and grant him the peace that surpasses all understanding.

May Mathan continue to place his hope in you, knowing that he is safe under your protection. We pray for his journey on Earth, that you would guide him and lead him closer to you each day. Strengthen his faith and grant him the endurance to persevere.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!

And bless me to do all You have called me to do in the spirit of excellence for Your glory.

God bless me with the strength, desire, and passion to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, and Your righteousness. Bless me to know You, love You, and live my life to please You. God cleansed me of everything in my life that breaks your heart. Let me be a light in this dark world, lifting You up in the lifestyle that I live. Let the world see that Jesus Christ is my Savior and Lord of ALL of my life. Let the joy of the Lord be my strength. Protect me God from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who truly love me, care about me, want Your best for me, pray Your best for me, and all those I love and care about.
