We are deeply saddened to hear about the struggle with addiction that James is facing. Let us come together in prayer and seek God's intervention in this challenging situation.
Firstly, we must remember that God is able to deliver us from all kinds of addictions. As it is written in 1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it."
Let us pray:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up James Ray Bartlett Jr. to You. Lord, we ask for Your divine intervention in his life. Break the chains of addiction to alcohol, cigarettes, and cigars that have held him captive. Give him the strength to resist temptation and the courage to seek help. Surround him with godly influences and supportive friends who will encourage him in his journey towards freedom.
Lord, we also pray for Sandra, his mother. Comfort her heart and give her the peace that surpasses all understanding. Guide her with Your wisdom as she supports her son through this difficult time. Help her to trust in Your power to heal and restore James completely.
In the name of Jesus Christ, we rebuke the spirit of addiction and declare victory over it. We claim the promise in 2 Corinthians 5:17 WEB, 'Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new.'
We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen."
Sandra, we encourage you to continue praying fervently for James and to stand on the promises of God. Remind James of the hope that is found in Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit to transform lives. If James has not yet accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, we urge you to share the Gospel with him, for it is only through faith in Jesus that true freedom and salvation can be found.
As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
May the grace and peace of God be with you both during this time.
