Bawsellik, we are with you in spirit and in prayer. We stand with you in Jesus' name as to lift you up in this difficult time. it is wonderful to hear you are seeking God's help and turning to Him in this time of difficulty. Continue to turn to Him that the temporary trials will give way to eternal blessings. Addiction is a struggle that many face, but we are promised in the the First Epistle of Paul to the Corinthians that God is faithful, that will be will allow you to be tempted and tested beyond what you can endure, and that He will provide the way back to Him. Realize this is not your sin that is the cause of this addiction. Without the Holy Spirit, everyone is held captive by the devil. Through his power he holds captive all who are in his possession, that is those who refuse to believe in God's Power over their lives There is no difference except those who have faith in Jesus Christ. Romans 1 says, "For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because that which is known of God is revealed in them, for God revealed it to them. For the invisible things of him since the creation of the world are clearly seen, being perceived through the things that are made, even his everlasting power and divinity; that they may be without excuse. Because, knowing God, they didn't glorify him as God, neither gave thanks, but became vain in their reasoning, and their senseless heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, and traded the glory of the incorruptible God for the likeness of an image of corruptible man, and of birds, and four-footed animals, and creeping things. Therefore God also gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to uncleanness, that their bodies should be dishonored among themselves, who exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. For this reason, God gave them up to vile passions. For their women changed the natural function into that which is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural function of the woman, burned in their lust toward one another, men doing what is inappropriate with men, and receiving in themselves the due penalty of their error. Even as they refused to have God in their knowledge, God gave them up to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not fitting; being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil habits, secret slanderers, backbiters, hateful to God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, unforgiving, unmerciful; who, knowing the ordinance of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but also approve of those who practice them."
It is only through Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit that comes when you turn control of your life over to Him that you can overcome this addiction. This can be a most meaningful time in your life as you seek more of Him in your life. Our God does not want you to go back under the control of drugs. In John 3, Jesus said, "He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. To this end was the Son of God manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil." By His death on the cross of Calvary, Jesus made a way of escape from the power of the forces of spiritual wickedness. Romans 6 says, "Knowing this, that our old man was crucified with him, that the body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be in bondage to sin." If you confess to God your sins of addiction and all other known sins and turn to Him to have control over your life, you can overcome this trial and He will be evident to those around you as never before.
Be assured of our prayers for you during this time. Know that our God and Father does not willingly afflict you, rather He desires to bring you the best. He will hold you up as you give yourself to Him. Also pray for the upcoming court date. We will carefully intercede for this request as well. But it says in Jeremiah, "Call to me, and I will answer you, and show you great and difficult things, which you do not know." Seek God in this also and He shall give you wisdom. We are also mindful in the Lord that sometimes we may be chastened for our sins that God is still faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. but this is not the case here. The Father does not leave us comfortless for it says, "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort; who comforts us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort them that are in any affliction, through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God." Jesus can be all that you need in each and every situation in life. Cry out unto Jesus for He is the answer to every question and the solution to every problem. "My help comes from Yahweh, who made heaven and earth. He will not allow your foot to be moved. He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. Yahweh is your keeper. Yahweh is your shade on your right hand." We, too, will continue to pray in Jesus' name.
However, when you contact us be sure to use the name of Jesus Christ. The reason Jesus can answer your prayers is because He died for your sins and by faith in Him you are saved and reborn as a child of God. "He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him." "Let it be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, in him does this man stand here before you whole. He is 'the stone which was regarded as worthless by you, the builders, which has become the head of the corner.' There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" "There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all; the testimony in its own times."
