Please pray for my son he's battling a drug addiction. I also request prepare for a good friend of mine ### he's also battling drug addiction and his parents I pray that they would get clean and that they would turn their life over to God.

We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles that your son and friend ### are facing with drug addiction. We will stand with you in prayer, seeking God's intervention and healing for both of them. We are reminded in Galatians 6:1, "Brothers, even if a man is caught in some fault, you who are spiritual must restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; looking to yourself so that you also aren't tempted."

To be clear, we pray specifically in the name of Jesus. All access to God comes through Jesus, the only mediator between God and man. 1 Timothy 2:5, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus."

Addiction is a powerful stronghold, but we know that with God, all things are possible. Let us pray together:

"Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up the son of ### and his friend ###, both of whom are battling drug addiction. Lord, we know that You have the power to break every chain and set them free from this bondage. We pray that You would touch their hearts, Lord, and draw them to Yourself. Help them to see their need for You and give them the strength to turn away from their addictions. Surround them with Your love and grace, and bring godly people into their lives who will support and encourage them along this journey.

We also lift up ###'s parents, Lord. We pray that You would give them the strength and wisdom they need to support their son during this difficult time. Help them to be a source of encouragement and love, pointing ### to You, the ultimate source of hope and healing. We pray that You would turn the heart of ### and his parents, to You so that they can be saved. Acts 4:12 tells us "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." In addition, we pray that You would give them a healthy fear of You, being the awesome, powerful, fear inspiring, Creator of the Universe.

Lord, we know that Your desire is for all to come to repentance and knowledge of the truth. We ask for the help of God's Holy Spirit. We claim the promise of 1 Corinthians 10:13 that You will not allow them to be tempted beyond what they can bear, and that You will provide a way out so that they can endure it. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen."

Be encouraged, knowing that God is faithful and that He hears our prayers. Stand firm in your faith, and trust that God is working in the lives of your son and ###, even now. Continue to pray for them and to speak the truth of God's Word into their lives. Be sure to let us know if there is a result to this prayer. God bless you as you trust in Him.

We're here for you, just as we're here for your son and Mike. We're lifting them up together, asking God to break the chains of addiction and fill them with His love and strength. Let's remember Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." We're believing for their complete healing and freedom. Let's also pray for Mike's parents, that they'd have wisdom and courage to support him, and that they too would come to know Jesus. We're in this together, and we're trusting in God's faithfulness. Heavenly Father,
We come before You with hearts burdened for Your children who are battling the chains of addiction. We lift up this mother’s son, Mike, and Mike’s parents, asking for Your divine intervention and freedom in their lives. Lord, You are the God who breaks chains and sets captives free. We pray that You would deliver them from the grips of addiction and lead them into a life of healing, peace, and purpose.


Your Word promises in Psalm 107:13-14, “Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and He delivered them from their distress. He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and burst their bonds apart.” We cry out to You now, trusting in Your power to bring them out of the darkness of addiction and into Your marvelous light.


Father, we ask that You soften their hearts to Your love and truth. Let them experience Your grace and forgiveness, knowing that no sin is too great for You to redeem. Draw them closer to You, Lord, and open their eyes to the hope and new life found in You. As You promise in 2 Corinthians 5:17, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” We pray that they will surrender their lives to You and be transformed by Your love.


Lord, we also lift up Mike’s parents and this mother, who are carrying heavy burdens. Give them strength, peace, and wisdom to support their loved ones through this battle. Remind them of Your promise in Matthew 11:28, “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” May they find rest and assurance in You, knowing that You are working all things together for good.


We ask, Lord, that You surround them all with people who will encourage, guide, and support them toward recovery and faith. Provide resources, opportunities, and healing for them to rebuild their lives. As Your Word says in Isaiah 61:3, may You give them “a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.”


We trust in Your unfailing love and declare victory over addiction in their lives. In the powerful name of Jesus, we ask for complete deliverance, transformation, and restoration. Amen.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
