We understand that you're struggling with addictive behaviors, and we want you to know that God loves you and desires for you to be free. First, we must acknowledge that freedom from addiction comes through faith in Jesus Christ. It is through His name that we have access to God and can receive salvation and deliverance (John 14:6, Acts 4:12).
In Romans 12:1-2 (WEB), we read, "Therefore I urge you, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service. Donโt be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God." To break free from addictive behaviors, we must surrender ourselves to God and allow Him to transform our minds.
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your divine intervention in our dear friend's life. We know that the enemy has tried to hold them captive through addictive behaviors, but we also know that Your power is stronger. Please break the chains of addiction in their life, Lord. Renew their mind and transform their heart according to Your will. Help them to resist temptation and find refuge in Your loving presence. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, giving them the strength and self-control needed to overcome this struggle. We ask all these things in Jesus' precious name, Amen.
We encourage you to spend time in God's Word daily, seeking His truth and guidance. As you draw closer to Him, He will draw closer to you (James 4:8). Also, surround yourself with a supportive community of believers who can hold you accountable and uplift you in prayer. Remember, God is faithful, and He will make a way of escape for you when you are tempted (1 Corinthians 10:13). Stay strong in the Lord, for He is your rock and your salvation (Psalm 18:2).
