We understand that you have reconnected with an old acquaintance and are seeking God's will in this situation. First, we commend you for bringing this to the Lord in prayer, as He promises to guide us in His will. As Christians, we should not be unequally yoked 2 Corinthians 6:14. This would mean that those who we are in relationships with should be Christian.
For a Christian, there is nothing wrong with wanting to build a friendship or even a relationship, but it is a good thing to evaluate to a good Christian person before you do so and make sure that you are not equally yoked. The friendship would need to be built on a solid foundation of faith, so we urge you to pray for God’s wisdom and discernment in this situation.
God's word tells us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight" Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB. We encourage you to trust in the Lord and acknowledge Him in all your ways, knowing that He will direct your paths.

Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today in the name of Jesus, lifting up our sister in Christ who is seeking Your will for a friendship or relationship with an old acquaintance. Lord, we ask that You guide her steps and reveal Your plan for this situation. If it is Your will, orchestrate a meeting between them, but if not, help her to let go and trust in Your sovereign plan.
Grant her the wisdom and discernment to recognize Your voice and Your leading. Help her to trust in You with all her heart, leaning not on her own understanding. We ask that You protect her heart and emotions as she navigates this situation, and that You would bring godly counsel and support into her life.
We pray for her acquaintance, ###, you know who he is Lord. We pray that you will strengthen him, we pray that he will be a man of integrity, and that he will be a God fearing man. We pray that he will be a man according to your heart and that he will be a man who honors you in all his ways.
