We understand that you are seeking prayers for the acceptance of your second manuscript and the successful defense of your PhD dissertation. We are here to pray and provide biblical encouragement for you.
Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging the power of prayer and the role it has played in your journey thus far. It's important to remember that our help comes from God, as Psalm 121:2 says, "My help comes from Yahweh, who made heaven and earth."
We are all holey in the sight of God and we know that He is the author rates and finisher of everyone's life in this world. For he bestows favor (or Grace in the form of not what we deserve.) and condemnation as He sees fit to all man.
In times of stress and anxiety, we should not forget that God cares for us as described in 1 Peter 5:7. "Cast all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you."
We can turn to Him in prayer, casting our burdens and know that He listens and acts on our behalf. But let us be very sure when we pray, it is done in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which man is saved. Acts 4:12 states "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved!"
For you nerves helping you to be calm focus on the Word of God, the Lord as he says this in Isaiah 41:10 " 'Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.' "
Concerning your feelings of loneliness and loss, take comfort in the fact that God is always with you. Psalm 68:6 says, "God sets the lonely in families." Dear Tukynathog, your loneliness pales in comparison to being separated from God for eternity. Do not allow your circumstance to blind you to this fact.
Jesus is standing right next to your side every moment of every day including this one. As far as losing close family members and friends, we are truly sorry for your loss. As Jesus is your chief cornerstone, he will never forsake you or leave you. (Deut. 31:6)
We pray this prayer in Jesus' name to protect you and guide your steps that we know His will be complete in your life concerning your PhD.
