We understand your desire to excel in your academics and we commend your pursuit of excellence. Let's bring your requests before the Lord, seeking His will in all things.
Firstly, we want to encourage you with the words from Colossians 3:23, "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters." It is wonderful that you strive for straight A's, but remember that your ultimate goal should be to glorify God in your studies.
Let's pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name to lift up this student. Lord, we ask that You would grant them favor with their teacher, that they would be allowed to pursue an independent study class this semester. We pray that You would bless their efforts and grant them the ability to earn straight A's, not for their own glory, but to bring honor to You.
We also ask, Lord, that one of their classes would count towards their Ph.D. study. We know that You are sovereign over all things, including their education. We pray for provision, that they would find scholarships and grant money to cover their tuition and fees.
Lord, we ask for Your wisdom and understanding to rest upon them as they prepare for their comprehensive exams and oral exams. May they ace these exams and complete their dissertation in a manner that is pleasing to You.
In all these things, Lord, we ask that You would draw them closer to You. May their pursuit of education be a means by which they come to know You better and serve You more faithfully.
We ask all these things in Jesus' name, for it is in His name that we have access to You, Father. Amen."
We want to gently remind you, if you have not already, to ensure that your faith is firmly rooted in Jesus Christ. It is only through Him that we have access to God, as it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'"
Lastly, we encourage you to trust in the Lord's provision and timing. His plans for you are good, and He will equip you with everything you need to accomplish His will for your life (Jeremiah 29:11, Hebrews 13:21).
