We are truly sorry to hear about the abuse you've endured, and we commend you for taking the brave step to remove yourself from those harmful situations. God does not want you to be abused; He desires for you to be treated with love, kindness, and respect. As it is written in Ephesians 4:32 WEB Be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God in Christ also forgave you.. Abuse is never part of God's plan for your life.
Firstly, we thank God that you prayed in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only in His name that we can approach God the Father and be saved. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And as it is written in Acts 4:12: WEB There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved.
In this time of healing, know that God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Psalm 34:18 WEB Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. He is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1 WEB God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
It's important to forgive those who have harmed you, not for their sake, but for your own healing and peace. This does not mean what they did is acceptable, nor does it mean you should allow them back into your life. As it is written in Matthew 6:14-15 WEB or if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
Regarding your financial situation, trust that God will provide for your needs. As it is written in Matthew 6:25-34 WEB Therefore I tell you, dont be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isnt life more than food, and the body more than clothing? ...Therefore dont be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day's own evil is sufficient.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our dear sister who has bravely escaped abusive relationships. We pray for Your healing touch upon her body, mind, and spirit. Help her to release the tension and find peaceful sleep. Comfort her in her tears, and help her to forgive those who have harmed her.
We ask that You open up new job opportunities for her, that she may find meaningful work and provision. Guide her to a community of believers who will support and encourage her. Give her discernment in choosing godly friends and potentially a godly spouse in the future, that she may not be alone.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged, dear sister. God has a plan and a purpose for your life. Trust in Him, and He will guide your path. As it is written in Jeremiah 29:11 WEB For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.
