Thank you for bringing our precious sister in Christ to us for prayer and support. We stand with her in the name of Jesus Christ, as it is only through His name that we have access to God's throne of grace. Let us pray and share God's word with her.
Firstly, we address her financial situation. We are reminded of the words of the Apostle Paul in Philippians 4:19 WEB: "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." We pray that our sister will trust in the Lord's provision, as He is the good shepherd who leads us beside still waters and prepares a table before us in the presence of our enemies Psalm 23:5 WEB. We rebuke the spirit of debt and unemployment, claiming in Jesus' name that she will be led out of this valley and into a place of abundance.
However, we must also address that true abundance is not merely material wealth, but an intimate relationship with Christ and a life that overflows with the fruits of His Spirit. Our sister must continue to seek first God's kingdom and His righteousness, trusting that all her needs will be met Matthew 6:33 WEB.
Regarding her struggle with smoking, we turn to 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 WEB: "Or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's." We pray that the Holy Spirit will strengthen her and give her the power to overcome this temptation. We remind her that in Christ, she is no longer a slave to sin John 8:36 WEB.
Lastly, we address the mention of feeling "more or less 'alone.'" We encourage our sister to remain steadfast in the Lord, for He has promised to never leave her nor forsake her Hebrews 13:5 WEB. We pray that she will feel the comfort of His presence and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit. We also encourage her to seek out a community of believers, as the body of Christ is meant to support and uplift one another.
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister. We pray that You will lead her out of debt and into abundance, healing her from her struggles and giving her the strength to overcome her temptations. We pray that she will feel Your presence and know that she is never alone. We ask that You would send her a godly spouse if that is Your will for her, that the two may become one and glorify You through their marriage. We thank You for Your faithfulness and Your promises, and we ask all these things in Jesus' name. Amen.
We also pray for harvesters to be sent into God's harvest Matthew 9:38 WEB, and we bless Israel in Jesus' name. To God be the glory.
