Steven Bobb, we understand your concern about the poor judgment exhibited by people, both unsaved and sometimes even Christians. It's true that often people choose the wider, unholy path, as you've highlighted with the example of the crowd choosing Barabbas over Jesus. This tendency is reflected in the world's preference for solutions that do not align with God's will.
Let's remember what the Bible tells us in Matthew 7:13-14 (WEB): "Enter in by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many are those who enter in by it. How narrow is the gate, and restricted is the way that leads to life! Few are those who find it."
We must continually pray for wisdom and discernment, both for ourselves and others. As it is written in James 1:5 (WEB), "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him."
Let us pray together:
*Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, acknowledging that Your ways are higher than our ways. We pray for Your divine wisdom to guide us and those around us, that we may choose the narrow path that leads to life.*
*Father, we ask that You open the eyes of the unsaved, that they may see the truth of the Gospel and turn to You. We also pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ, that they may be discerning and not be swayed by the world's deceits.*
*We claim the promise in Your Word that if we ask for wisdom, You will give it generously. Help us, Lord, to be lights in this world, guiding others to the right choices, the holy choices.*
*We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.*
Steven, continue to stand firm in your faith and trust that God is in control. Keep sharing the truth in love, and remember that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God and His wisdom. As it is written in Acts 4:12 (WEB), "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
