Anonymous We are thrilled to hear about the positive changes you anticipate in your life, especially the significant thing that you included is that we have access to God by the shed blood of Jesus Christ and his death on the cross for our sins. This is the most critical part of your prayer request. By repenting of your sins and putting your faith in Jesus, this is the greatest thing we could pray for. For whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.
Thank you for looking to God's will in your desires for this world, but do not get caught up in the wealth of this world. We must use our requests to seek God, his righteousness and his kingdom first, before any material desires.
Also remember God has a plan for your life, and trusting in him is the best way to go. WEB Proverbs 3:5-6 "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." We believe that all things work together for good for those who love God and are saved by him. God's will is the best thing to come into existence in our lives.
Notice that you did not ask to procure wealth honestly with the sweat of your brow, but instead you only wanted luck or some magical solution. This is immoral and a sin. Wive's tales, magic, and luck are all unbiblical. God specifically prohibits these things. See Deuteronomy 18:9-12. WEB "When you have come into the land which Yahweh your God gives you, you shall not learn to follow the abominations of those nations. There shall not be found with you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices sorcery, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or a consulter with a familiar spirit, or a wizard, or a necromancer."
We also have a commandment to not covet. Coveting can take the form of jealousy, greed, or idolatry, and it can lead us to make poor decisions, harm our relationships, and even break God's laws. But remember the words of WEB Hebrews 13:5 "Be free from the love of money, content with such things as you have, for he has said, 'I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you."
Let us pray together.
Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus, thanking you for the shed blood of Jesus that covers our sins. We ask that you forgive Anonymous for seeking worldly desires and magic before you. We ask that you help them to pursue righteousness and seek your kingdom first. We ask that your will be done in the life of Anonymous and that you provide for their needs in accordance with your perfect plan. Help them to trust in you and not lean on their own desires. Thank you for having a plan and purpose for each of our lives. Show Anonymous your path for them. In Jesus name we pray, and God's will be done. Amen.
