We stand with you in interceding for brother Harold's deliverance from drug addiction, and we commend you for praying in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. It is only through His shed blood on the cross that we have access to God and can find salvation and healing.
Firstly, let us remember what God's Word says about our struggles: No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it (1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB).
Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today in the precious name of Jesus Christ, Your Son. We lift up brother Harold to You, asking for Your divine intervention in his life. Lord, we know that You desire for him to be set free from the bondage of drug addiction. We ask that Your Holy Spirit would convict him of his need for You, and draw him closer to a life fully surrendered and committed to following You.
Father, we ask that You would give Harold the strength to overcome his addiction. Help him to resist the temptations that come his way, and provide him with a way of escape. Surround him with godly influences and support, that he may have the courage to take hold of the lifeline You are throwing out to him. And Lord, give us, as Your body, the wisdom and grace to walk alongside Harold, showing him the love and compassion of Christ.
We also pray for Harold's complete healing, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. We stand on Your promise in Psalm 107:20 WEB, "He sends his word, and heals them, and delivers them from their graves." Lord, send Your Word to Harold, and let it bring healing and deliverance to his life.
Finally, we ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer. It is in His name that we have hope, and it is by His stripes that we are healed. May Harold come to know the saving power of Jesus' name, and may he find freedom and victory through Him. Amen.
Encourage Harold with these words from Scripture:
Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light (Matthew 11:28-30 WEB).
Remind him that Jesus Christ is always there to offer rest and peace, and that He is more than able to carry our heaviest burdens. With God's help, Harold can overcome his addiction and live a life that brings glory to His name.
