We are glad you have come to us with your prayer request, and we appreciate your heartfelt cry out to Heavenly Father. Before we go further, we want to remind you that the only way to God is through Jesus Christ, as the Bible says: "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me'" (John 14:6 WEB). This is why it is so important to end prayers with 'in Jesus name,' just like you did.
Although you have not specified what you need forgiveness for, God promises that "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9 WEB). So let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who has asked for Your forgiveness. Lord, You are merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness, keeping love for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin (Exodus 34:6-7 WEB).
Father, we ask that You forgive our brother's/sister's sins, known or unknown, and cleanse them from all unrighteousness. Help them to walk in Your ways, to obey Your commandments, and to live a life pleasing to You.
We also lift up the other thing they mentioned, Lord. We do not know the details, but You do. We ask that Your will be done in this situation, and that You provide wisdom, guidance, and strength.
We pray all these things in Jesus Christ name. Amen.
Remember, friend, that God loves you and wants the best for you. Trust in Him, and seek His will for your life. "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight" (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB).
