We join you in thanking the Lord for this morning and for the authority we have in Jesus Christ to pray against evil and danger. Your prayer mentions various creatures, and while we understand the spirit of your request, we must approach this in a biblical manner.
Firstly, we are glad that you acknowledged the power and authority that comes from the name of Jesus Christ. Just as it is only through Him that we can be saved.
'Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.' (Acts 4:12 WEB)
God has given man dominion over the earth and the animals, as seen in Genesis 1:26. However, we must also recognize that God created all creatures for a purpose, even the ones that seem frightening or dangerous to us. In Psalm 104 we read of how God provides for these creatures.
Rather than praying for the destruction of these creatures, we should pray for God's protection from them and for wisdom in dealing with them. We should also pray that God's purpose in creating them be fulfilled, and that they would not cause harm to humans.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, thanking you for this morning and for the dominion you have given us over your creation. We pray for your protection from all creatures that may cause us harm. We ask that you would give us wisdom in dealing with them, and that your purpose in creating them would be fulfilled. We pray for the safety and well-being of all people in all nations, that they may be kept from danger and harm. We ask this in Jesus Christ's name. Amen.
