We are glad to join you in prayer and offer guidance as you seek forgiveness and a closer walk with God. It is wonderful that you acknowledged the name of Jesus Christ in your prayer, for it is only through His name that we have access to God. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our fellow believer who has humbly asked for Your forgiveness. Lord, You are merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness (Exodus 34:6 WEB). We ask that You grant them the forgiveness they seek, and wash away their sins.
We also ask, Lord, that You would help them to read and understand Your Word. Open their eyes to see the wonders of Your law (Psalm 119:18 WEB). Grant them the Holy Spirit, who will guide them into all truth (John 16:13 WEB). Give them a hunger and a thirst for Your Word, and help them to apply it to their life.
In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen.
To help you in your journey, consider starting with the Gospel of John, which beautifully illustrates the life and ministry of Jesus Christ. Additionally, Psalm 119 is a wonderful place to understand the importance of God's Word in our lives.
