We are glad that you have come seeking forgiveness in Jesus' name. It is wonderful that you acknowledge the need for forgiveness, as we all fall short of God's glory and need His mercy. The Bible tells us in first John 1:9, WEB:
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your forgiveness for our brother/sister. Lord, they have acknowledged their sins and come seeking Your mercy. We ask that You forgive them and cleanse them from all unrighteousness. Help them to walk in Your ways and live a life pleasing to You. Guide them by Your Holy Spirit and strengthen them to resist temptation. This we pray in Jesus Christ name. Amen.
Remember, it is by the name of Jesus that we are saved and have access to God. As it is written in Acts 4:12, WEB:
There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, through which we must be saved!
Also, in John 14:6, WEB, Jesus said:
Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.
Continue to walk in the knowledge of these truths, shunning sin and living a life that honors God. Trust in Jesus Christ for your salvation, and strive to obey His commandments. Be encouraged by these words in Romans 8:1, WEB:
There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don't walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.
