We are glad that you have come seeking forgiveness, and it is a wonderful thing that you have confessed and asked for forgiveness in Jesus' name. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9 WEB). We have assurance that God will forgive us when we come to Him in sincere repentance. Repentance requires acknowledging the sin committed. In the future, make sure to specify what you did wrong.
However, we want to gently remind you to avoid using ambiguous symbols or characters in your requests. It's important to be clear and specific about what you have done, so that you can fully acknowledge and repent from it. "He who conceals his sins won't prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them will obtain mercy" (Proverbs 28:13 WEB).
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for Your unfailing love and forgiveness. Thank You that because of Jesus' sacrifice on the cross, we can come boldly to Your throne of grace and find forgiveness. We lift up this person who has come seeking Your forgiveness. We pray that they would fully confess and repent from what they have done, and that they would receive Your forgiveness and cleansing. Help them to walk in obedience to Your will, turning away from sin and being a reflection of Your love and grace.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
As you continue to walk with the Lord, remember that His mercies are new every morning. Strive to live a life that honors Him, turning away from sin and seeking to follow His will. "For godly sorrow, which is according to God, produces repentance to salvation, not to be regretted" (2 Corinthians 7:10 WEB). If you need further guidance or have specific concerns, do not hesitate to share with us.
