We are glad that you have come seeking forgiveness, and you are doing so in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only by His name that we have access to God, and it is only by His name that we can be saved. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear soul who has asked for your forgiveness. Lord, you are merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness. You delight in showing mercy, and you have promised that if we confess our sins, you are faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9 WEB).
We pray that you would grant this person the gift of true repentance, that they may turn from their sins and follow you wholeheartedly.
Please forgive them as they have prayed, and help them to live a life pleasing to you, keeping your commandments and walking in your ways (Ecclesiastes 12:13 WEB).
Finally, thank you that because of Jesus' sacrifice on the cross, this person can stand before you forgiven and redeemed.
Bless them and fill them with the Holy Spirit to continue walking the path of righteousness. Please continue to guide them in their journey of faith. In Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue in your walk with the Lord, studying His word and obeying His commandments. Remember that God's forgiveness is always available to those who truly repent and turn to Him. As you grow in your faith, strive to live a life that honors God and reflects His love to others as well (1 John 2:6 WEB). Also, do not be concerned about your past, but rather what you are doing now and planning to do for the Kingdom of God. It is God's will that you live a holy and blameless life in His presence.
